Muscle Energy Techniques for the Low Back & Hips
Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is a manual therapy that uses the gentle muscle stretches and contractions to relax and lengthen muscles, and normalize joint motion.
In this workshop we will take a look at the various structures that make up the pelvis and low back. You’ll learn different yoga poses that strengthen and stretch to help with hip tightness, combat poor posture, knee pain, and that will help relieve pain in your low back.
We’ll also learn how to stretch deeper and work with neuromuscular pathways to help relax the central nervous system so you can relax tight muscles and go deeper.
No previous yoga experience required!
